Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using Walkr's services, you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provision of this agreement. If you do not agree to abide by the above, please do not use this service.

These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Rethela Technology ("Walkr," "we," "us," or "our") regarding your use of the Walkr platform and services.

2. Service Description

Walkr provides walk-based delivery services within the Mira Bhayandar area. Our service connects customers with local walkers for fast, eco-friendly delivery of items up to 10kg.

  • Delivery within 60 minutes for distances up to 2km
  • Real-time tracking of deliveries
  • Secure payment processing through Razorpay
  • Customer support and dispute resolution
  • Insurance coverage for deliveries up to ₹10,000
  • 24/7 customer support availability

3. User Registration and Account

Account Creation:

  • You must be at least 18 years old to create an account
  • Provide accurate, current, and complete information
  • Maintain the security of your account credentials
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use
  • You are responsible for all activities under your account

Account Verification:

  • Phone number verification required for all accounts
  • Additional verification may be required for high-value deliveries
  • We reserve the right to suspend unverified accounts

4. User Responsibilities

Customer Responsibilities:

  • Provide accurate pickup and delivery addresses
  • Ensure items are properly packaged and within weight limits
  • Be available at the specified pickup time
  • Pay the agreed-upon delivery fee
  • Treat walkers with respect and courtesy
  • Declare high-value items (over ₹5,000)
  • Ensure items comply with our prohibited items policy
  • Provide clear delivery instructions

Prohibited Items:

  • Illegal substances, drugs, or contraband
  • Hazardous materials, chemicals, or explosives
  • Perishable items without proper temperature control
  • Items exceeding 10kg weight limit
  • Fragile items without adequate protection
  • Live animals or plants
  • Cash, jewelry, or other valuables over ₹10,000
  • Items that could cause harm or damage

5. Payment Terms

All payments are processed securely through Razorpay. Payment is required at the time of booking.

  • Base delivery fee: ₹40 for single drop
  • Additional drops: ₹60 per additional drop
  • Floor charges: ₹10 per floor above 2nd floor (when lift unavailable)
  • Distance charges: ₹40 for distances exceeding 2.5km
  • All prices are inclusive of applicable taxes
  • Payment disputes must be reported within 24 hours
  • Refunds processed within 5-7 business days

6. Cancellation Policy

Customer Cancellations:

  • Free cancellation before walker assignment
  • 50% refund if cancelled after walker assignment but before pickup
  • No refund after pickup has occurred
  • Emergency cancellations may be considered on case-by-case basis

Service Cancellations:

  • Full refund if no walker is available within 90 seconds
  • Full refund for service failures due to technical issues
  • Compensation for delays exceeding 60 minutes
  • Weather-related cancellations: full refund

7. Liability and Insurance

Walkr maintains insurance coverage for deliveries up to ₹10,000 per delivery. Customers are responsible for declaring high-value items.

  • Maximum liability: ₹10,000 per delivery
  • Claims must be reported within 24 hours
  • Documentation required for claims processing
  • Walkr is not liable for delays due to weather or traffic
  • Force majeure events exclude liability
  • Consequential damages are not covered
  • Claims processing takes 7-14 business days

8. Privacy and Data Protection

We collect and process personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable data protection laws. Your data is used solely for service provision and will not be shared with third parties without consent.

9. Account Deletion and Data Retention

Account Deletion:

  • You may request account deletion at any time
  • Deletion requests must be submitted in writing
  • All pending deliveries must be completed before deletion
  • Outstanding payments must be settled
  • Account deletion is irreversible

Data Retention After Deletion:

  • Transaction records: 10 years (tax compliance)
  • Legal records: 7 years (regulatory compliance)
  • Personal data: Deleted within 30 days
  • Anonymized analytics data: Retained indefinitely

App Deletion:

  • Uninstalling the app does not delete your account
  • Account deletion must be requested separately
  • Data remains accessible through web platform
  • Push notifications will continue until account deletion

10. Intellectual Property

The Walkr platform, including its content, features, and functionality, is owned by Rethela Technology and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

  • You may not copy, modify, or distribute our content
  • Walkr logo and branding are protected trademarks
  • User-generated content remains your property
  • You grant us license to use your content for service provision

11. Dispute Resolution

In case of disputes, we encourage resolution through our customer support team. If unresolved, disputes will be settled through arbitration in Mumbai, India.

  • First attempt: Customer support mediation
  • Second attempt: Formal complaint process
  • Final resolution: Arbitration in Mumbai
  • Governing law: Laws of India
  • Class action waivers apply

12. Force Majeure

Walkr shall not be liable for any failure to perform due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, government actions, strikes, or technical failures.

13. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary so that these Terms will otherwise remain in full force and effect.

14. Modifications to Terms

Walkr reserves the right to modify these terms at any time. Users will be notified of significant changes via email or app notification. Continued use of the service constitutes acceptance of modified terms.
